Winter Plant Identification and Eagle Viewing

Grab your binoculars, cameras, and spotting scopes!

​The Connecticut Association of Wetland Scientists (CAWS) invites its members to attend an exclusive winter plant ID workshop Instructed by Daniel Hageman (FHI Studio).
 
The day will consist of a winter walk through the grounds to identify common trees and shrubs utilizing the Winter Tree Finder: A Manual for Identifying Deciduous Trees in Winter (Eastern US) by May and Tom Watts. Following the outdoor portion, we will warm up and grab a bite to eat at the Shepaug Dam Eagle observation facility while watching the wintering eagles.
 
The cost for this event will be $30.00 per person (includes a copy of the field book and lunch). Sign up today! This event will be open to CAWS members only and will be limited to 20 people.

What to bring: Field gear, loupe, binoculars, and your inquisitive attitude.
