
CONNECTICUT ASSOCIATION OF WETLAND SCIENTISTS
CAWS Membership
CAWS was established in 1997 by and for professionals throughout Connecticut involved in wetland science. The Association’s purpose is to promote the profession and understanding of wetland science. Membership is geared toward all wetland professionals including wetland scientists, consultants, soil scientists, engineers, attorneys, regulators, landscape architects, students and any in the general public with an interest in wetland science. Membership in CAWS provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, research, consulting and regulatory related issues and any other wetland related interests among its members.
There are three levels of membership based on experience, education and participation in CAWS.
Annual membership fees are:
· Full Member - $40.00

Associate Member
Individual, non-profit or government - $25.00
Corporation - $100.00
· Student Member - $10.00
Annual dues help support the annual meetings held by CAWS which have received great interest and have provided a wealth of information to attendees. Annual dues also support the annual Michael Lefor Wetland Science Research Grant which is given to qualified undergraduate or graduate students to help defray the cost of wetland science research projects.
